About Me

I'm married to Gavin and I am mom to Joyanna (6) and Oakley (4). I was born in Charlotte, NC and have mostly lived in the Lake Norman area to this day.

I've spent years in school learning about theology, the Bible, ministry, and counseling while serving in the local church and parachurch organizations. Over the years, I have honed my skills in copywriting, graphic design, and administrative coordination. I am now seeking to combine my education, experience, and gifts to inspire people inward and outward in their faith.

I'm an INFP, Enneagram 9w8 with spiritual gifts in administration, shepherding, and mercy... at least that's what the tests say. I love podcasts, books, coffee, conversation, and sunsets.

Logo Design

I am skilled at logo creation and enjoy finding creative ways to incorporate the essence of someone’s brand into a simple, eye-catching icon that can be used in various ways for promotional purposes.

It’s important to consider how a logo will be used, as well as what it evokes. Simple aspects such as color, shape, font type, font size, clarity, and current design trends all affect the way consumers engage with a brand.

Devotional

In my previous position, various church staff rotated writing devotional pieces that were posted on social media and in one of the weekly emails. Each staff member wrote with a different style and in my writing, I sought to be relatable and model vulnerability.

Call to Action

Much of my work has consisted of writing copy to encourage readers towards a call to action. These pieces were crossposted on social media, emails, and print. Many of these also included a graphic that I created to match the brand or theme of each ministry, event, or announcement.

Storytelling

Another element of my writing was "storytelling" about the life of the church. Through social media posts and email updates, I wrote about what the church had been doing in missions, group ministries, worship services, and beyond. Occasionally, these posts would incorporate a call to action.

Print Design

Designing and writing for print is an aspect that I enjoy. It is gratifying to create a sign, card, flyer, or banner and see it "come to life".

Website design and upkeep are essential to the success of a church, organization, or company. I enjoy the process of making a website appealing and easy to navigate. These images show a couple of the pages I developed along with their graphics.
